Civil Engineer (PE)

FULL TIME | Fredericksburg, TX | Pay: Based on skills and experience

VEI is seeking a licensed Texas Professional Engineer to lead civil design projects, manage client relationships, and mentor our design staff.

  • BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

  • Active Texas PE license

  • Experience in roadway, drainage, water and wastewater design

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Able to prepare, review and seal plans, reports and calculations

  • Experience coordinating with counties, cities, TCEQ and TxDOT

  • Able to supervise and mentor EITs, designers and drafters

AutoCAD / Civil 3D Designer

FULL TIME | Fredericksburg, TX | Pay: $30 - $35 per hour, depending on experience

VEI is seeking a motivated AutoCAD / Civil 3D Designer to join our growing team. This team member produces plans for civil engineering projects related to transportation and public infrastructure.

  • Two-year technical/associate degree OR 2-5 years of experience as a CAD Technician, Drafter, Designer, or Engineering Technician

  • Working knowledge of Civil 3D (surfaces, corridors, pipe networks)

  • Ability to read survey data and engineering sketches

  • Basic computer file management and Microsoft Office

  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Survey Field Technician

FULL TIME | Fredericksburg, TX | Pay: $15 - $18 per hour, depending on experience

VEI is seeking a Survey Field Technician for our Fredericksburg office. You will work with clients across the Hill Country on project control: field data collection, topographic surveys, and construction staking.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Search for section corners, property irons, and survey points

  • Run rod for benchmarks and cross-section elevations

  • Ability to work outdoors in Texas conditions

  • Ability to work as part of a crew
